7.50.0 - Integration with BioInsight Platform Core
September 15, 2026
Features
Illumina Connected Analytics (ICA) has been rebranded Illumina BioInsight Platform Core or Core, for short. References to ICA in help documentation and the BaseSpace user interface will be updated over the next few releases.
The owners and administrators of public domain workgroups (i.e., professional accounts) can share data from their personal space or workgroups to accounts in enterprise domains. This applies to the new domains for the new BioInsight subscription types, and also existing enterprise domains.
Updated the BaseSpace CLI to version 1.7.1, which supports upload to S3 buckets with SSE-KMS encryption (staged rollout to be completed by the end of October).
Modern applications running on the BioInsight Platform Core engine can now be launched using BaseSpace samples and appresults (as distinct from biosamples and datasets).
When viewing a secondary analysis, the Requeue->Analysis menu option will behave equivalently to selecting Requeue->Planned Run on the input run.
Bugs Fixed
Improved the handling of quoted search terms and ranking of search results.
Fixed a bug where analyses uploaded from instruments could get stuck during transfer between users.
Fixed a bug where the biosample chooser on app launch forms might show blank rows. Inaccessible and unusable samples are now shown but not available for selection.
Fixed a bug to more reliably transition analyses to "Timed Out" status in the event of six hours of inactivity during post-processing.
Fixed a bug where project share recipients could not access all of the datasets and output files of an analysis that had terminated abnormally.
Fixed a bug where some output files were not available in BaseSpace after abnormal analysis termination, including timed out analyses or the user cancelling.
An attempt to launch an application with a deleted or inaccessible project input will abort immediately with an error message.
If a user attempts to launch an Illumina Analytics Platform application (all of which are now deprecated), launch will abort immediately with an error message.
Analysis and biosample workflows will abort with a helpful error message if the user attempts to launch a pipeline without the necessary subscription or BIC balance.
Fixed an issue where users are able to edit planned runs with status ReadyForSequencing.
